The Parks Chapel AME Church choir is led by Sis. Logan Johnson, Minister of Music.
Logan Johnson is a multimedia composer from St. Louis, Missouri. She started playing the piano at the age of five and has dedicated the past 20 years to honing her craft. In 2013, Logan attended Howard University, often referred to as the “Mecca” of all Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). She has performed for former President Barack Obama and participated in the 2016 and 2017 Kennedy Center Honors with the acclaimed Howard Gospel Choir. Logan holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Howard University and a Master’s in Screen Scoring from New York University, where she received the prestigious Alan Menken Scholarship. She is also a member of the Alliance for Women Film Composers, the Composer Diversity Collective, and Grammy U.
